Day of Service 2022
Participate in the Day of Service with these suggested ways to give back that can be done in any community:
- Check in with local organizations to view their wish lists
- Donate goods to your local food bank or shelter
- Clean out closets and donate clothes, toys, and books
- Read at an online storytime for your local library
- Make your own lending library box or food pantry box (check with local ordinances)
- Paint rocks with encouraging words and place them along walkways
- Hang a sign in your window sharing words of support, or write a letter to someone in your community
- Take a bag with you on family walks and clean up trash (always use a disposable glove)
- Help out a neighbor with raking leaves or shoveling snow
